Fischer, Johann Conrad the Younger
1799 – 1830
A Schaffhausen gunsmith and the oldest son of Johann Conrad Fischer.
As a young man, Johann Conrad Fischer worked as a gunsmith with François Prélat and Jean Lepage in Paris, and with Elisha Hayden Collier and Joseph Egg in London. He later also worked in Schaffhausen and in Liège. He was killed in a shooting experiment in 1830.
Johann Conrad Fischer records in his Journal for 1825 to 1827 that his son Johann Conrad Fischer the Younger was also an artillery officer.
