Gott, Benjamin

24. June 1762 – 14. February 1840

An English industrial pioneer and owner of several textile factories including Park Mill and Armley Mills in Leeds, at the time one of the world’s largest textile mills.

Johann Conrad Fischer made the acquaintance of Benjamin Gott in September 1814, and they became friends. In 1816 and 1824 Fischer received a visit from several children of the Gott family in Schaffhausen.
