Ammann, Friedrich Ferdinand

Member of the cantonal council, school inspector and wine merchant from Ermatingen.

Friedrich Ferdinand Ammann travelled to England in 1851 in order to see the Great Exhibition. He travelled from Freiburg to Karlsruhe on the same train as Johann Conrad Fischer. Although they travelled together, it is not known whether the two men had known each other previously.
