Brahe, Tycho
14. December 1546 – 24. October 1601
Leading 16th century Danish astronomer.
Tycho Brahe’s astronomical measurements were the empirical basis for Kepler’s law of planetary motion. While crossing the Øresund strait between Denmark and Sweden, Johann Conrad Fischer saw from a distance the ruins of the observatories Brahe had built on Ven Island.
